Steven Wang, CFA, MBA

A CFA Charter Holder with both a MBA Degree and a Master’s Degree in Economics, Mr Steven Wang has 7 year day-to-day investment portfolio management and stock trading experience at the largest pension fund in Canada and the biggest hedge fund manager in the world (Barclays Global Investors(BGI)), respectively, helping manage multi-billion dollars of global stock portfolios using different strategies.
Mr Wang also has hands-on experience in public/private acquisitions, project financing and private placement in both China and North American markets. The eleven years career at pension funds, hedge fund and investment banks also build up his diverse knowledge in investment strategies across major asset classes: stocks, bonds, options, futures, real estate properties, infrastructure projects, hedge funds, currencies and commodities.
In addition to working hard to deliver his daily challenging responsibilities, Steven has enjoyed being an inspirational speaker and career mentor to help the communities for many years. He is frequently invited to speak at various career development events at University of Toronto, York University and several community colleges.
